This causes mineral build up on tile, pebble tec, stone, water features, etc. Some pools have gotten so saturated they should be completely drained, cleaned, and refilled with "new" water. This is recommended when the TDS has gotten too high. When your pool is saturated with calcium and minerals, it is also recommended to have an ACID WASH when the pool is empty.

Other times the customer simply wants the tile cleaned without draining the whole pool. Yes this is possible! We drain the water about 6-10" below the tile. Then we clean the tile using a safe media product at lower air pressure whether salt, glass bead or other media. The tile will be cleaned with the appropriate media. There are several different media types and they all have their application. Be wary of a pool cleaning company that claims their procedure is better than their competitors; there is no “best” media or procedure. The pressure of the air and the technician's experience are more of a factor than anything. Each type of media has its application, and we will use the type of media that will render the best results for your surface. Once the mineral and calcium buildup is removed, the media and minerals settle to the bottom of the pool, where they are vacuumed out after the cleaning is complete.
